The premiere this year was almost as bad, seeing Mary so defeated. But you're right. She kept going. I will, too. Some days more than others. I never thought I would get through my dad's death and never even fathomed that I would be faced with infertility - but it becomes your new reality, your new life. And even in the really tough times, you may struggle, but you get through it with a new perspective on life. And I am planning on watching Downton Abbey tonight - this makes me look forward to it even more.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08832054544185336622noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12102019.post-22601280426468634512014-01-09T01:08:07.998-05:002014-01-09T01:08:07.998-05:00Well said! The reality is though, if it happens to them, they WILL handle it. They may not enjoy it, it may be awful and scary and traumatic, but they'll handle it. We all will, you don't really have a choice. Acknowledging the place that fear and sadness and all the other emotions that you experience have in the over all process is something it took me a long time to do. But it certainly does make you stronger, and sometimes I think that's the only way we can grieve is if we're able to look back and see some kind of purpose, even if it's just that it made you stronger, in our tragedies.
